This Giving Tuesday, Light for All USA is joining hands with partners to expand neonatal capacity in Upper Egypt, beginning with Assiut. Every contribution helps purchase incubators, phototherapy units, and essential supplies that keep newborns breathing, warm, and safe. Premature birth remains a major driver of neonatal admissions and mortality worldwide — and Egypt is no exception. A study highlighted that late-preterm infants had markedly higher rates of NICU admission: 52.9% vs 26.7% for full-term infants.
